PHILIPPIANS 1:21 To live is Christ, to die is gain. A death has to happen, either in an instant, a few months, years or a life time. We All have to crucify this rebellious nature that will not subject itself to the will and Love of God. Jesus Christ did something He didn't have to, He lived under the wrath and discipline of God that we all deserve. He took that life and task on Himself so that after His spirit was commanded back to God The Father, a new spirit undefiled by Adam was accessible to those that would receive it. See God in the old testament has not changed. He hates sin in the believer just as much as the sin in the sinner.
2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Acts 10:34,35
Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
Roman's 2:3,11 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?For there is no respect of persons with God. Now we all know that as long as we are abiding in Christ and are putting to death the deeds of the flesh than we escape the wrath of God. But ask yourself, are you any different from others? Do you exemplify the nature of Jesus? At least as a Christian your better than the best unbeliever in behaviors right? The wrath of God against sin has never changed just because we believe. The difference between believers and unbelievers is that. #1.) We know we are filthy rags before God. And if we believed that, it would greatly humble us. James said faith without works is dead. There's no belief in your sinful nature without great humility. #2.) We accept the wrath and persecution of God for our rebellious nature as discipline from our Father in heaven. It's the same wrath against anyone who practices the same misdeeds, God is not partial. A world ministry will tell you that you are favored by God, this is wrong. GOD DOES NOT FAVOR ANYONE PRACTICING SIN. #3.) We have a hope in Christ Jesus that the discipline from God is producing in us the same righteousness as Christ, the hope of glory. We have within us something the world doesn't, a persevering, enduring spirit that overcame the world. Christians do not run from disappointment, frustrations, abuse and punishments. We run to them, knowing we deserve them, and humbly accepting the discipline from our Father.
Only the hope of Jesus in the face of His cross can accomplish this spirit in a believer. Our faith is the same faith Christ had that his endurance through the wrath of God will lead to an everlasting glory and crown, not just in the life to come but in this one as well. No body in true faith of the indwelling enduring and persevering Holy Spirit of Christ, can say they ever faced an obstacle with Him and was not given a testimony. That wasn't an occasion, it wasn't just an incident, He died to make your entire life that abundant and spectacular. Don't run from that joy and victory. Pray for the rain and the storms the world is afraid of and runs from. Show them the power of God here on earth that only pure, true, refined faith can produce. GIVE THEM JESUS!!!!!
