Jesus Was A Perfect Loser
Jesus was a loser!
If that sounds far out there, study your Bible and look at His life and the message His disciples preached and promoted. To win with God requires we become less in this life now. If the way of God was to prosper you financially, increase your health, or make you great amongst your peers, then the apostle Paul who started many of the first churches would of surely had these benefits. He didn't!!! In fact he went from being prospered high ranked, and respected by our standards, to being demoted, laughed at, imprisoned and executed. And he, like Jesus, said that those of us called by God will expect to follow this example. Those desiring to inherit the kingdom of God will have to lose their worldly ambitions and pursuits in this one. Those that want life have to hate the one they have first. The gospel is the message of the cross- rejection, struggles, failures, disappointments and ultimately the death of importance to EVERYTHING we now cherish. God's doesn't want to mend all the relationships with your family, Jesus told us to hate them. He doesn't want to prosper you with money, the devil does, Jesus told us He was sufficient enough to be your treasure and to rid yourself of all worldly possessions and follow Him.
How attractive is Christianity now? This isn't a life we choose and the only ones who can follow it are those called and empowered by God to do so!
